Spinal arthritis is a wear and tear condition that can develop from injuries, poor posture, and spinal neglect.  Spinal arthritis occurs when misaligned joints, otherwise known as subluxated joints cause asymmetrical pressure on the vertebral discs which then leads to disc decay.  Over time when left untreated the disc will thin and the vertebrae will grow spurs, also known as osteophytes, and ultimately the spine will start to cease.  As these spurs grow, they begin to squeeze the spinal nerves and severe debilitating pain can develop. If this occurs in your lower back it will create the symptoms of sciatica.  If it occurs in your neck it can cause severe neck pain, headaches, numbness, tingling, and weakness in your arms and hands.

One of the most effective ways to minimize this occurrence is through regular chiropractic care, however, if already suffering with symptoms, spinal decompression can help restore normal joint motion through a series of precise treatments removing the pressure from the nerves and removing the pain and symptoms.

Our Methods

  • 1.

    Heat

Heat therapy works by stimulating your body’s own healing force. For instance, heat dilates the blood vessels, stimulates blood circulation, and reduces muscle spasms. In addition, heat alters the sensation of pain.

  • 2.

    Cold

Reduces swelling by constricting blood vessels. While cold packs may be uncomfortable at first, they can numb deep pain.

  • 4.

    Ultrasound

Therapeutic Ultrasound is a method of stimulating tissue beneath the skin’s surface using sound waves. It is a very high frequency massage that can penetrate up to 5″ below the surface of your skin.

  • 5.

    Exercise

This may include stretching, core exercises, weight lifting, and walking. Your Chiropractor may teach you an exercise program so you can do it at home.
